E-Share and Receiving Documents

As of May 6, 2024, our default way of sending case materials to parties is by E-Share. We expect representatives to work electronically - using E-File to send us material and E-Share to receive material.

What is E-Share?

E-Share is a cloud based, secure file sharing service built on TitanFileTM. The service provides you with information from the WSIAT faster and you can access it at your convenience.

What will I receive through E-Share?

You will receive the case material for your WSIAT appeal or application in Adobe PDF format via E-Share, such as the Case Record or Addenda.

How can I access the E-Share service?

In order to receive electronic copies of your case material, you will need to provide your consent to participate in E-Share, an email address, and a phone number.

You will also need the Adobe Reader DC program to open and view the PDF documents you receive. If you need to install the free software, click on the following link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/. Instructions for setting it as the default program to open PDF files in Windows 10 are found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/acrobat/kb/not-default-pdf-owner-windows10.html.

E-Share Consent Form

If you would like to receive electronic copies of your case materials, please complete and send us an E-Share Consent Form.

You may submit this form electronically to the WSIAT via E-File.

What are the risks of using the E-Share service?

The WSIAT has integrated security measures including two factor authentication, which reduces, but does not eliminate, the security risks of transferring documents online. You should also take steps to mitigate the risks to your own systems and information, such as: not sharing passwords and PIN numbers, securely destroying sensitive information and being cautious when entering personal information, particularly in public. Try to shield the forms and fields that you enter so that others won’t see the information and/or capture it on camera.

How do I use E-Share?

We have created the following resources to help you set up and use E-Share:

If you have questions or if you have trouble accessing a document sent via E-Share, please call the WSIAT Call Centre at 416-314-8800 or 1-888-618-8846, or via TTY at 416-314-1787, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
