WSIAT Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary
In October 2010, the Tribunal celebrated its 25th anniversary. Created in 1985 as an external workers’ compensation appeals tribunal, the Tribunal provides a specialized expertise within the administrative justice system. It has developed a reputation for quality adjudication, its legislative interpretations providing well-reasoned and respected commentary on legislation in the workplace safety and insurance system. The Tribunal looks forward to continuing this tradition of excellence into the future. As part of the celebrations surrounding this significant milestone for the Tribunal, a special symposium will be held in Toronto this December.
