An Order-in-Council (OIC) is an order from the provincial cabinet, and is effective on the date signed by the Lieutenant Governor. Each Vice-Chair, Member and the Chair is named to his or her position through an Order-in-Council appointment. The WSIA confers authority to hear and decide Tribunal appeals to individuals appointed by OIC.
